Bunker Labs Philadelphia has received a $10,000 grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation to support the Launch Lab cohort. Launch Lab is the place for veteran entrepreneurs to validate their start-up businesses, generate revenue and develop a path towards sustainability through a 16-week program. Applications for the 2018 class are due by December 13, 2017.
Lincoln Financial Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Lincoln Financial Group, believes in empowering people to live greater lives, which advances culture and empowers greater positive change. Its grant is part of Lincoln Financial’s annual $10 million investment in its local communities’ youth education, economic and workforce development, human well-being and arts programs.
“We are honored to receive this grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation,” said Joe Witte, Executive Director of Bunker Labs PHL and a former Captain in the US Army. “We are in the midst of preparing for our next Launch Lab cohort, and are meeting with potential companies daily. We take this investment seriously and will continue to use these funds to make a difference in veterans’ lives.”
Veteran entrepreneurs interested in participating in the Launch Lab cohort should submit their online application by December 13, 2017 to be considered for the 2018 program which begins January 17, 2018.
In addition to the generous support of Lincoln Financial Group, Bunker Labs PHL programming is made possible through contributions from companies like Comcast, Boeing and Hussian College committed to supporting veteran entrepreneurs.
